OUR TREATMENTS
Pancreatic Cancers
Surgery to remove pancreatic tumours is more likely to be successful when caught early before the disease has spread into neighbouring vessels and organs. This is generally true of all cancers but with pancreatic cancer it is especially important to be seen by an HPB surgeon as they are more likely to perform complex surgery that others may not offer. When surgery is not an option then the aim of treatment is to reduce the size of tumour or stop it growing and for this we offer a variety of therapies. We would liaise with the Oncologists who specialise in HPB and decide which treatment is most suitable between radiotherapy and chemotherapy both of which are accepted practices that are used to delay or halt progression of the disease.
